Paris Xavier Pinkney
As a Senior UI/UX Designer, I worked exclusively on web and mobile applications—from sketches to live production. Since then, I've transitioned to a Senior iOS Engineer, where I've taken what I've learned over the years in mobile UI/UX design to an entirely new level.
This keen eye for design, complemented with a FinTech programming mindset, has allowed for me to push the limits of my abilities, while maintaining a safe, functional, and testable coding environment.
Some of the features included standard iOS functionality: geolocation, split screen map and table views, push and local notifications, search, in-memory data cache, SQLite persistence layer, etc.
Many of the other key features were implemented before Apple had provided public APIs: custom map clustering, proximity beacons, digital wallet, OCR processing, etc.
Some of the features include standard iOS functionality: table views, push and local notifications, search, in-memory data cache, SQLite persistence layer, etc.
Some other features included: CPU image buffering, GPU image blurring, full-screen reader, full-screen editor, publishing tools, story management, peer interaction, user roles, admin privileges, etc.
Some of the features include standard iOS functionality: collection views, table views, UI animations, offline data access, push and local notifications, search, in-memory data cache, SQLite persistence layer, etc.
Some other key features included: LRU image caching, data compression, incremental data load, complicated UI/UX, screen temperature adjustments, book reader, audiobook player, etc.
For over 7 years, I've had the chance to progress from the role of Graphic Designer, to Product Desiger to Lead Designer, to iOS Engineer with the team at Marqeta; furthermore with VLNRABLE and Scribd.
The Marqeta B2C iOS app, created in 2013, gave users the ability to discover, purchase, and redeem bonus dollars in return for brand loyalty.
VLNRABLE is an app that allows you up to 1,000 characters to share the details of a story, anonymously, that you can’t tell anyone else. You can browse stories shared by others who are taking steps to freedom through sharing these secrets.
The Scribd iOS app, created in 2011, is a subscription-based content service which proudly boasts a library of millions of books, audiobooks, documents, and sheet music selections.
